Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in receptionist or customer service role preferred
  • Ability to work weekends including Saturdays and Sundays
  • Basic computer skills including typing and use of a ten-key adding machine
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Willingness to work in an assisted living environment
  • Ability to function as a team member
  • Good interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, residents, families, and the public

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in assisted living or senior care environment preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic clerical skills including typing and filing
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions calmly
  • Conflict resolution capabilities
  • Ability to work weekends for part-time coverage

Job Duties

  • Provide information and referral to residents, visitors, staff, and prospective clients in a positive, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor while managing front desk activities
  • Perform basic clerical duties including typing, filing, and light bookkeeping
  • Manage multiple interruptions effectively while staying organized
  • Communicate clearly and resolve conflicts with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Collaborate with team members and support other departments as needed
  • Ensure the reception area is welcoming and well-maintained
