Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 2 years experience in customer service or administrative support
- proficiency with office software and multi-line phone systems
- strong communication skills
- ability to occasionally lift or move light office items up to 15 pounds
- ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
- ability to foster long-term relationships
- willingness and ability to use good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (strongly preferred)
- receptionist experience (preferred)
- minimum of 2 years experience in customer service or administrative support (preferred)
- proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and multi-line phone systems
- strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- friendly and professional demeanor with a commitment to creating a welcoming environment
Job Duties
- Greet all visitors, students, faculty, and staff warmly and assist with inquiries
- answer and direct phone calls, taking messages or redirecting as necessary
- monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- maintain visitor logs, sign-in sheets, and access badges
- handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, distributing to appropriate departments
- assist with scheduling appointments and managing meeting room bookings
- provide clerical support, such as data entry, filing, and copying
- type minutes from various meetings as requested
- provide information about campus facilities, policies, and procedures
- assist students with general inquiries regarding admissions, registration, and event schedules
- facilitate communication between students, staff, and faculty members as needed
- assist with entrance testing, including setup, paperwork, monitoring, and data entry
- assist Student Affairs with outreach to employers as needed
- assist in coordinating logistics for campus events, meetings, and orientations
- prepare informational materials, signage, and displays for campus events
- ensure proper sign-in protocols for visitors, students, and staff
- report any unusual or suspicious activity to campus security
- contact maintenance and janitorial service when needed and advise them of daily needs, including repairs and parking
- perform other duties as assigned
