The Receptionist role at Life Care Centers of America is a pivotal position within the administrative team, serving as the frontline representative for the facility. This position is structured as a PRN (pro re nata) or as-needed role, providing flexibility while meeting the dynamic needs of the center. The receptionist is responsible for efficient clerical support and for warmly greeting all visitors and callers in a manner that reflects the organization's commitment to exceptional service and professionalism. With a key focus on maintaining confidentiality and adherence to regulatory and company standards, the receptionist helps facilitate smooth operations and enhances the patient and visitor experience.
This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communications to manage daily clerical tasks and correspondence effectively. The receptionist must be capable of making independent decisions that align with facility policies and legal requirements specific to post-acute care settings. Key responsibilities include operating the facility phone and paging system, providing excellent customer service, assisting in patient evacuation procedures, and fostering a positive, cooperative work environment. The position demands excellent communication skills in English, the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, and strict adherence to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and compliance training.
Candidates suitable for this role typically have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a secretarial science program or have at least six months of clerical experience. Strong interpersonal skills, dependable attendance, and sound judgment under pressure are essential.
