Job Requirements
- Must have valid driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance
- must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
- must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
- may be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
- may be required to work weekends
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) certificate
- knowledge of and skill in applying rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- skill in completing tasks effectively and efficiently
- skill in operating a personal computer and typewriter
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy
- ability to operate basic office equipment
- ability to read
- ability to follow directions
- ability to effectively respond to customer inquiries and complaints
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, outside agencies and the general public
Job Duties
- Greets and directs all office visitors and answers the phone
- routes calls to employees and/or takes and delivers messages
- responds to general questions or complaints from the general public, customers or employees
- receives, opens and distributes all incoming mail
- maintains and monitors sign-in log
- issues and monitors visitor passes
- performs general clerical duties, including the operation of office machines and computer software
- enters and retrieves data utilizing computer software
- performs related duties as required
