Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of office experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Proficiency operating basic office equipment such as telephone computer and copier
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Flexibility to travel to nearby locations as needed
  • Commitment to uphold patient confidentiality and organizational policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of office experience
  • Two years of medical office experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish-English preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Job Duties

  • Provide superior patient care services treating all patients and guests with compassion and respect
  • Greet all patients and guests with a smile and helpful manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients guests colleagues and physicians
  • Provide patients with necessary instructions or directions
  • Process patient documentation and update patient demographics with accuracy
  • Triage incoming calls promptly and pleasantly review phone messages and return calls timely or direct messages to appropriate person
  • Verify insurance and determine if prior authorizations or referrals are required for upcoming appointments
  • Close-out daily batches promptly and accurately
  • Maintain clean and organized waiting room and work area
  • Travel to surrounding offices to provide front desk coverage when needed
  • Adhere to all organizational policies procedures ethical principles patient confidentiality and comply with State and Federal regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business operational needs
