Job Requirements
- must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations
- must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
- must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel
- must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc
- must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices
- must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- must be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute and operate a word processor
- must be able to effectively use a 10-key calculator
- must have a working knowledge of computers, input/output/retrieval data, etc
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- proficiency in typing at least 35 words per minute
- ability to operate word processors and 10-key calculators
- basic computer skills including data input, output, and retrieval
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to make independent decisions during emergencies
- knowledge of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
- tactfulness in dealing with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public
Job Duties
- perform clerical tasks in accordance with established procedures
- manage communications with personnel, residents, and visitors
- maintain accurate records and data entry
