Job Description
Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest and most respected providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeastern United States. The organization operates Florida PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Centers, which represent the largest PACE program in Florida. These centers serve as integrated health plans, healthcare providers, and social hubs tailored specifically for older adults with complex medical needs, supporting their ability to live independently. Miami Jewish Health serves the Miami-Dade and Broward counties through four adult day health centers, offering an array of services that emphasize comprehensive care, compassion, and community involvement. As a leader in geriatric care, the organization maintains a strong commitment to empathy and respect for seniors, creating an environment where aging adults can thrive with dignity and quality of life.
The Receptionist PACE role at Miami Jewish Health is a vital position that supports the smooth operation of the adult day health centers by handling essential front desk duties and providing clerical support. This role acts as the first point of contact for participants, caregivers, healthcare providers, and visitors, representing the organization’s core values through professional and compassionate interaction. The Receptionist is responsible for managing a busy telephone switchboard, directing calls appropriately, greeting visitors, managing incoming mail, and ensuring critical information is promptly relayed within the department. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with department protocols and regulatory standards.
This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office software, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and resourceful in emergency situations. Candidates must demonstrate a caring attitude, especially when working with geriatric patients, and must be bilingual in English and Spanish to effectively support the diverse community served. Miami Jewish Health offers an inclusive work culture that encourages participation in ongoing training and team meetings to ensure the highest standards of service and professionalism. Employees also benefit from competitive compensation, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 403(b) retirement savings plan, free on-campus parking, and access to an onsite fitness center.
Joining Miami Jewish Health means becoming part of an organization dedicated to meaningful and rewarding work that positively impacts seniors and their families. The position is suited for compassionate individuals who are eager to contribute to a supportive community environment while developing their professional skills in a healthcare setting. Miami Jewish Health emphasizes equal opportunity employment, valuing diversity and inclusion, and prohibits any form of discrimination or harassment during all phases of employment. This ensures a respectful and supportive workplace for staff and patients alike.
