Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform all duties in-person at an Emory University location
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Availability to work during standard office hours
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors and callers and handle their inquiries or refer them to the appropriate employee
  • Take and route messages
  • Perform routine typing and generate correspondence
  • Open and distribute mail
  • Prepare and mail outgoing correspondence
  • Set up organized files for correspondence ensuring easy retrieval
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Enter data into computer database as needed
  • Operate a multi-line telephone console
  • Post and maintain information in public areas
  • Perform related responsibilities as required
