Job Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
  • medical receptionist experience preferred
  • knowledge of interpreting techniques and cultural differences
  • ability to translate written and oral material accurately
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • attention to detail
  • ability to multitask
  • knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations
  • ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 4:45pm
  • availability to work in San Marcos, TX

Job Qualifications

  • One year minimum of experience as receptionist in a medical setting

Job Duties

  • Greet clients
  • manage client check-ins and scheduling
  • answer and redirect phone calls professionally
  • process co-pays
  • place appointment reminder calls
  • maintain front desk and waiting areas cleanliness and stock
  • receive and relay insurance information
  • process incoming faxes
  • record client cancellations
  • maintain knowledge of emergency procedures
  • attend administrative meetings
  • observe patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • translate documents and conversations between English and Spanish
  • provide accurate interpretation of therapeutic procedures and terminology
  • assist with administrative backup
  • carry out projects assigned by management
