Job Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • medical receptionist experience preferred
  • ability to provide accurate interpretation and translation under pressure
  • knowledge of therapeutic procedures and terminology
  • proficiency in Microsoft program applications
  • adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • punctual and professional
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associate degree preferred
  • one year of interpreting experience or equivalent education and training
  • bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • expert level Microsoft Office skills
  • strong clerical and administrative skills
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with therapy-related terminology

Job Duties

  • Greet clients
  • answer telephones professionally and redirect calls
  • maintain daily client schedules and appointment reminders
  • collect and process co-pays
  • maintain front desk cleanliness and supply stocks
  • communicate changes in Medicaid and insurance coverage
  • process incoming faxes
  • record client cancellations and notify therapists
  • attend daily administrative meetings
  • translate documents and verbal communications
  • provide accurate and high-quality interpretation services
  • explain therapeutic procedures using specialized terminology
  • maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • serve as administrative backup when necessary
  • assist with training administrative team members
