Job Description

The hiring establishment is a nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to its residents. This facility prides itself on fostering a compassionate and nurturing environment where the well-being and dignity of every resident are paramount. As a reputable nursing home, the organization integrates patient-centered care with an efficient administrative approach to maintain smooth operations and ensure that residents, families, and staff experience the highest standards of service and support. The nursing facility is committed to the continuous improvement of resident care through innovative programs and dedicated staff involvement, promoting a positive and supportive community for all involved.

The role available is that of a Receptionist, an essential position within the nursing facility that serves as the vital communication and coordination hub for residents, visitors, family members, and staff. This position requires an individual who can manage multiple responsibilities effectively, ranging from answering telephone calls with professionalism to assisting with administrative office duties. The Receptionist will work closely with the facility Administrator and Business Office personnel to support efficient operations, particularly within the Business Office. The employee will be responsible for managing accounts payable, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payment submissions, which are critical to the facility's financial accuracy and operational continuity.

Additionally, the Receptionist plays an active role in supporting the resident experience by distributing mail, updating employee phone lists, and assisting with the mailing of monthly resident statements for room and board. The role is not merely administrative but also involves participating in programs aimed at enhancing the lives of residents, supporting census-building initiatives, and contributing to staff development through recruitment, training, and retention activities. This position requires a dedicated individual with excellent organizational and customer service skills and a strong commitment to working collaboratively within a healthcare environment.

The position demands excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. The role’s physical requirements include regularly communicating effectively and occasionally lifting or carrying items weighing between 1 to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available to support employees with disabilities in performing these essential duties. Overall, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a caring community, ensuring operational excellence while directly impacting the quality of life for nursing facility residents.
