The role of Receptionist at In The Zone is vital to daily operations and serves as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff. This position requires a confident and organized individual who can manage a variety of clerical tasks such as answering and directing phone calls, sorting and distributing mail, and maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area. The Receptionist will also ensure that participant safety is maintained by enforcing sign-in and sign-out procedures and monitoring authorized persons for child pick-up. Attention to detail is critical as the role involves handling delivery logistics, maintaining inventories of supplies, and accurately tracking visitor and call records.

As the Receptionist, you will be expected to possess excellent communication skills to warmly welcome visitors and provide thorough answers to inquiries about In The Zone’s programs and policies. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to operate standard office equipment like fax machines and copiers are essential in completing daily duties efficiently. Additionally, participating in safety protocols and emergency procedures is required to uphold the secure environment of the center. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or higher
  • ability to adapt to center's needs and hours
  • current child/adult CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain
  • reliable transportation to and from work
  • must be eligible and pass MSDH background check
  • must be able to type over twenty words per minute
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
  • able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
  • able to participate in high-energy activities with students

Job Duties

  • Understand and demonstrate attendance and punctuality are vital
