Job Description

Prochaska Law is a well-established personal injury and medical malpractice law firm based in Wichita, Kansas, that has been serving injury victims and their families since 1985. Known for skilled advocacy, friendly service, and personal attention, the firm prides itself on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. As a dedicated, people-centered law firm, Prochaska Law values reliability, kindness, and follow-through in every interaction, making it a trusted resource for those seeking legal guidance and support throughout their injury cases.

We are seeking a warm, dependable, and highly organized Receptionist to join our close-knit office team. This full-time, in-office position offers steady hours and a salary range of $17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience. The Receptionist is the welcoming first voice and trusted first point of contact for clients, potential new clients, attorneys, and legal team members. This role is vital in ensuring that every person who walks through our doors or calls our office feels respected, heard, and cared for.

The Receptionist will have a diverse range of responsibilities that include answering phones, greeting clients and guests, assisting with potential new client intake, supporting document and medical record tasks, handling mailings and errands, and providing essential administrative support to the legal team. Given the sensitive nature of many client calls—often from individuals who are injured, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next—the ideal candidate brings patience, professionalism, and a calm, reassuring presence. Clear communication, careful information gathering, and genuine kindness are required attributes for succeeding in this position.

This role offers a variety of tasks that keep the day moving and the office organized, working alongside legal professionals to ensure efficient handling of new case calls, preparation for meetings, and coordination of important legal documents. You will play an important part in the intake process, helping potential clients gather and complete necessary paperwork and enter information accurately into the firm’s case management system.

Prochaska Law’s work environment is friendly and team-oriented, including a beloved office dog named Charlie, so comfort around dogs is important. The Receptionist will assist with care for Charlie during the day and on occasional veterinary visits when needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative office atmosphere where every team member contributes to creating a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.

The firm offers meaningful work with variety throughout the day, combining client interaction, administrative duties, and assisting attorneys and legal assistants with various file and document tasks. The Receptionist helps maintain a welcoming atmosphere by keeping front desk areas and client spaces stocked, tidy, and organized. Additionally, the role includes occasional errands such as mail runs and courthouse visits, providing a dynamic and engaging workday.

Overall, this position at Prochaska Law is perfect for individuals who enjoy helping others, thrive in organized environments, and want to be a trusted, friendly face in a busy, reputable law firm. With comprehensive benefits, a strong team culture, and a mission focused on serving injury victims with compassion and expertise, this is a rewarding career opportunity within Wichita’s legal community.
