This job opportunity is for an Entry-Level Receptionist and Mailroom Assistant position based in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a contract to hire role with hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $17.50. The position requires a professional individual to provide coverage and support for phone operations, greeting visitors, and managing mail services for TeamHealth and its affiliates. The Receptionist will apply proper security procedures while welcoming guests in a courteous and professional manner. Responsibilities include answering and directing incoming calls efficiently, sorting and distributing mail and packages, managing tracking logs for six months of deliveries, and acting as a liaison for courier services like FedEx and UPS.

The role demands strong organizational skills to monitor mailroom supplies, coordinate order releases for office supplies, and maintain orderly spaces such as the front lobby, mailroom, and supply cabinets. The receptionist functions as a key point of communication between TeamHealth employees, building management, and maintenance teams. This position also handles the receipt and distribution of internal and outgoing mail, prepares parcels for shipment, and orders postal supplies when needed. Candidates must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, front-desk customer service skills, and be proficient with modern office technology and Microsoft Office applications. Job Duties

  • Provide coverage of the phones and report all phone related problems to the Regional Office Manager
  • Greet visitors applying proper security procedures in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and packages for TeamHealth and its affiliates
  • Maintain tracking logs for packages, certified mail, IT deliveries for at least six months
  • Serve as liaison for contracted courier express services such as FedEx and UPS including receipt and distribution of deliveries
  • Coordinate and maintain mailroom supplies and monitor inventory to maintain stock
  • Review and release Staples office supply orders every Wednesday
  • Act as liaison between TeamHealth employees, Building Management, Day Porter, and TeamHealth Maintenance
  • Perform any other unspecified tasks associated
