Job Description

CommonSpirit Health is a prominent healthcare organization formed from the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health. With a vast network spanning more than 700 care sites across the United States, including clinics, hospitals, home-based care, and virtual care services, CommonSpirit is accessible to nearly one out of every four U.S. residents. This extensive coverage demonstrates the organization's commitment to providing quality healthcare services to a diverse and wide-ranging population. As a company deeply rooted in compassion and service, CommonSpirit focuses on building healthy communities, advocating for the poor and vulnerable, and innovating healthcare delivery beyond traditional hospital settings. The organization places a strong emphasis on meeting the needs of communities through a mission-driven approach that integrates healing, protection, and accessibility.

The Receptionist role at CommonSpirit Health is crucial in embodying the organization's welcoming spirit and mission of compassionate care. This position involves acting as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, ensuring that every individual who walks through the doors or calls is greeted with professionalism, empathy, and reliability. As a Receptionist, you will play a key part in creating a calm and supportive environment that aligns with CommonSpirit’s core values and commitment to community wellness.

The ideal candidate for this position will consistently provide compassionate and thoughtful reception services within a diverse healthcare setting. Your responsibilities will include greeting and checking in visitors in a courteous manner, answering and directing phone calls, maintaining visitor logs, and assisting with light clerical duties such as filing, copying, and data entry. Attention to detail and a proactive approach will be necessary to maintain an organized and welcoming reception area. Moreover, the role requires strong situational awareness and an empathetic demeanor to support individuals who may be seeking information or care, some of whom may be vulnerable or in distress.

By fulfilling these duties effectively, you will significantly contribute to a positive atmosphere that reflects CommonSpirit Health’s dedication to healing and compassionate service. Your work will support the organization’s broader goal of improving health outcomes and ensuring compassion extends beyond clinical care to every interaction. Working as a Receptionist at CommonSpirit Health is not simply an administrative role; it is an opportunity to be part of a healthcare mission that values kindness, accessibility, and advocacy. This position is essential in fostering a welcoming environment where all community members feel safe, supported, and valued.
