Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold safety standards
  • Capability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Job Qualifications

  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services including telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, and computer to connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to appropriate personnel or departments
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments or meetings
  • Maintain confidentiality and safety standards while communicating
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with other hospital staff members
