We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our Store Administration department. This pivotal role reports directly to the Branch Manager and is classified as a non-exempt position. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for customers and associates alike, playing a key role in ensuring efficient communication and organization within our office setting. The Receptionist will provide essential clerical support that includes managing incoming calls, welcoming and directing visitors, handling mail distribution, and supporting membership services.
The Receptionist's responsibilities extend beyond welcoming guests; it includes confirming memberships, issuing temporary membership cards, and at times, processing new memberships through our computer systems. The role demands the ability to multitask and perform administrative duties such as taking and retrieving messages, coordinating express mail services with courier companies like FedEx and UPS, and managing returned merchandise by notifying the appropriate department heads for further handling.
Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties
- Answers the telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate associate
- transfers a caller to an associate's voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable
- greets and directs visitors
- confirms membership, issues temporary membership cards, and occasionally processes new memberships on computer
- takes and retrieves messages for various personnel
- provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information
- receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail
- coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services
- receives returned merchandise and contacts department head for proper processing
- assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
- performs other work-related duties as required and assigned
