The role of Receptionist at Signal Butte Dentistry is crucial in maintaining the front-line connection with patients and guests. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for greeting them warmly and professionally, whether in person or over the phone. The goal is to consistently deliver what is called the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and to contribute to creating Patients for Life (PFL) through positive and lasting impressions.
In this role, the Receptionist supports daily operational activities including scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in procedures, handling telephones efficiently, and ensuring the smooth flow of information between patients and the clinical team. The Receptionist must also be adept at using the practice management system to register patients, verify account information, and post payments according to company policies. Participation in team meetings and adherence to the company's behavioral framework and brand standards are essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred

Job Duties
- Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
- support the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) process by helping to get patients into the office and ensuring their comfort during visits
- schedule appointments to ensure a smooth and productive day for healthcare providers
- interact and communicate with patients and guests during their wait time
- answer telephones promptly and handle all calls efficiently
- complete all tasks on the front office checklist daily
- post payments to patient accounts in accordance with company policies
- act as subject matter expert in the practice management system for patient registration, e-check in, and account information accuracy
- efficiently manage patient check-in, obtain necessary consents and notify back office of patient arrivals
- confirm all patient appointments in accordance with office policies or at least two days in advance
- return and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center in a timely manner
- actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
- understand business imperatives and how the role impacts metrics
- demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand and make decisions consistent with the brand framework
- support clinician on patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection
- maintain professional appearance and demeanor according to company policies
- ensure compliance with company policies as well as state, federal, and regulatory bodies
- perform other duties as assigned
