With more than 200 expert providers operating under 20 distinct practice brands and serving patients across 100-plus locations in 10 different states, DOCS Dermatology Group has established itself as a leader in the field. The organization prides itself on delivering outstanding patient care in a compassionate, friendly, and convenient environment, ensuring that each patient feels valued and supported throughout their treatment journey.
The role of the Receptionist at DOCS Dermatology Group is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of the clinic and enhancing patient experiences from the moment they arrive. This full-time position involves direct interaction with patients and requires a professional who can manage multiple communication channels efficiently. The Medical Receptionist acts as the first point of contact for patients and vendors, playing a critical role in facilitating effective communication and seamless operation within the medical office.
Key responsibilities include answering multi-line phone systems promptly and courteously, greeting patients and visitors warmly, and managing patient check-in and check-out procedures accurately. The Receptionist is responsible for collecting necessary patient information, such as insurance details and outstanding balances, and entering data meticulously into electronic health record (EHR) systems. Scheduling appointments both over the phone and in person at the checkout desk is an essential part of the role, requiring excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Furthermore, the Receptionist provides patients with guidance and support as needed, contributing to a positive and reassuring atmosphere.
Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures is another crucial aspect of the position. Candidates for this role should be self-motivated, capable of learning various center tasks, and ready to assist management and physicians to uphold the highest standards of patient care and customer service. Prior knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not mandatory, as on-the-job training is provided.
DOCS Dermatology Group offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k matching, company-paid life insurance, an employee assistance program, and paid time off, reflecting the organization's commitment to the well-being of its employees. By joining DOCS Dermatology Group as a Receptionist, candidates will become part of a supportive community dedicated to making a tangible difference in patients' lives while working in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
