AllenAllen’s culture is centered on mutual respect and a team-oriented approach, ensuring that every staff member feels valued and empowered to contribute meaningfully both within the firm and in the community. The organization emphasizes work-life balance and offers a generous time off package, including unlimited paid time off and paid parental leave, which reflects their dedication to employee wellness and family care.
The role of Receptionist at AllenAllen is a full-time, non-exempt position based in the Richmond office and reports directly to the Executive Assistant. This position plays a critical role in delivering outstanding client service and maintaining the professionalism expected by both clients and colleagues. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers, providing a warm and welcoming environment while efficiently managing front office operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting that requires excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, along with a strong ability to communicate clearly and courteously.
The responsibilities include managing multiple phone lines, directing calls appropriately, and offering information such as directions or contact details with a high level of courtesy. The Receptionist is also tasked with maintaining a neat and welcoming workstation, managing conference room reservations through the firm’s internal systems, and assisting other departments with administrative tasks as needed. Flexibility to support other office locations by providing backup coverage is also a valuable aspect of this role.
This position demands someone who can juggle shifting priorities effectively while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, as the Receptionist interacts frequently with clients, staff, and attorneys. A strong understanding of office technologies, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook, is required, with bilingual Spanish skills considered a plus. The role also includes physical requirements such as the ability to lift 20 pounds, operate standard office equipment, and travel occasionally between offices.
AllenAllen supports the professional growth and financial security of its employees through competitive salaries, a 401k plan with employer contributions, tuition reimbursement, and employer-paid short and long-term disability insurance, as well as life insurance. Health and dental coverage for employees is provided at no cost, making it a comprehensive and attractive benefits package. AllenAllen actively fosters a welcoming environment for all and participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
Overall, the Receptionist role at AllenAllen is perfect for someone seeking a stable career within a respected legal firm that values professionalism, teamwork, and growth opportunities. The ability to provide excellent client service while handling the diverse demands of a busy front office environment is key to succeeding in this role. Candidates will find a rewarding work environment with ample opportunities to develop their skills and contribute to the continued success of AllenAllen.
