Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completed a secretarial science program or have at least six months experience in a clerical role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Knowledge of post-acute care laws and regulations
  • Ability to implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
  • Follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Ability to adhere to Life Care's Code of Conduct and complete mandatory training

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university or have a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
  • Ability to make independent decisions when appropriate
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in line with Life Care standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person as well as via phone in a friendly and professional manner
  • Effectively operate the facility phone and paging system
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
