Job Description

Colorado PACE is part of Care Synergy, a network of mission-driven, nonprofit healthcare organizations dedicated to providing compassionate care to very ill, frail, and primarily elderly individuals. Care Synergy is known for delivering high-quality services that enable these individuals to remain at home rather than being hospitalized, focusing on maximizing comfort, dignity, and overall quality of life. The organization encompasses several affiliates across Colorado's Front Range, collaborating effectively by sharing resources, expertise, and infrastructure, which allows them to serve thousands of individuals and families each year. Collectively, these efforts support hospice, home health, palliative care, CAPABLE, wellness, and PACE programs through a financially robust enterprise with an approximate annual revenue of $100 million. The affiliated programs under Care Synergy's umbrella include The Denver Hospice, Pathways Hospice, Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, Colorado Visiting Nurse Association, CAPABLE, Superior Medical Equipment, and PACE programs such as Colorado PACE and Pathways PACE. Care Synergy has a significant community impact, serving more than 7,000 hospice patients annually, providing over 355,000 hospice days of care yearly, attending to more than 2,000 palliative care patients, and delivering over $1.6 million in charitable care every year. The organization values diversity and inclusion and does not discriminate against any protected classes, focusing on providing an equitable work environment for all employees.

Colorado PACE is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist to join their team at the Aurora, CO location. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and offers an hourly pay range between $19.29 and $19.78, with additional potential for supplemental pay including overtime based on position, schedule, or availability. Employees are also reimbursed for mileage at one of the highest rates in the industry—sixty-two and a half cents per mile—which demonstrates the organization's commitment to supporting its workforce.

The Receptionist role is integral to the smooth daily operations and provides critical first impressions for both patients and visitors. Responsibilities include answering multi-line phone systems, directing calls, greeting visitors warmly, distributing visitor identification, and providing information to the public. Additionally, this position supports administrative functions such as handling mail, ordering postage and office supplies, and assisting with opening and closing office responsibilities to ensure efficient operations. The role requires someone who can carry out their duties with professionalism while fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, aligned with the organization’s culture of respect and community engagement.

Employees benefit from a supportive work environment where work-life balance is encouraged. Colorado PACE offers robust employee benefits including health insurance where the employer covers over 90% of medical premiums on some plans, a Health Savings Account (HSA) with significant employer contributions ($1,000 for individuals and $2,000 for families), extensive paid time off totaling 18 days in the first year, and seven paid holidays plus an additional floating holiday. Other benefits include a 403(b) retirement plan with a 50% employer match up to 8% of total compensation, company-paid life and AD&D insurance, an education reimbursement program, certification pay, and generous referral and recognition programs. The organization also provides legal and identity protection services, leadership development training, and early wage access, all aimed at ensuring employee well-being and professional growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience in a receptionist role within a high-volume, multi-line phone environment who are looking to work in a mission-driven and community-focused healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience typing at 35-45 words per minute is preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to lift or carry a minimum of 30 pounds, reflecting some physical aspects of the role.

In summary, the Receptionist position at Colorado PACE offers a fulfilling and well-compensated career path within an organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable populations. The position promises a respectful workplace culture, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to contribute positively every day to a caring community.
