We are currently seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our hospital team. This role is vital as the first point of contact, representing the face of Encompass Health and ensuring that visitors, patients, and callers experience a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive or reach out. The Receptionist will operate the switchboard, manage front desk responsibilities, and provide essential clerical support to various departments, playing a key role in maintaining effective communication and smooth operations throughout the facility.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with switchboard operation preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of switchboard equipment preferred
- Ability to use computer systems and complete data entry is preferred
- Knowledge of 10-key data entry method preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate, analyze, and make decisions
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and nights
Job Duties
- Answer all incoming calls and route to appropriate area or individual
- Greet all visitors
- assist them in signing in and wearing badge
- Enter and scan deposits, charges, and adjustments as directed
- Run and distribute census reports each morning and at end of day
- Assist in the entry of information related to admits, discharges, and physician changes
- Scan all correspondence and any miscellaneous items
- Check all therapy charges and attach census to back of each therapist's batch
