Job Description

Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health ("Bienvivir") is a well-established community-based, patient-centered healthcare delivery system operating since 1987 in El Paso, Texas. This organization is dedicated to serving frail seniors by promoting quality of life, dignity, independence, and choice in a compassionate and nurturing environment. Bienvivir specializes in the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a unique managed care program designed exclusively for frail seniors aged 55 and older who qualify for nursing home level care and reside within the PACE service area. The focus of Bienvivir is to provide comprehensive medical and support services that enable participants to maintain their independence and reside safely in their homes as long as possible.

Bienvivir’s commitment to excellence in senior care is reflected in its holistic approach to healthcare delivery, encompassing medical treatment, social services, and personal care to support the diverse needs of its participants. The organization ensures that seniors receive all necessary services in a coordinated and seamless manner, which significantly improves their quality of life. This role will be part of an institution that not only offers healthcare services but also fosters a supportive work environment emphasizing employee wellness through competitive benefits including full coverage of medical and dental premiums for employees, affordable vision insurance, life insurance benefits, paid time off, company-observed holidays, education reimbursement, mileage reimbursement, and retirement savings plans.

The Receptionist position at Bienvivir is a vital entry point within the organization, serving as the first contact for visitors, participants, staff, and vendors. Reporting to the Reception and Facilities Support Supervisor, the Receptionist plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role requires handling multiple tasks, including managing telephone switchboards, greeting and screening visitors, directing inquiries efficiently, and performing administrative clerical duties such as typing correspondence, preparing reports, filing, and handling mail and deliveries. The Receptionist also supports interdepartmental communication and helps maintain an organized, orderly reception area that aligns with Bienvivir’s core values and standards.

The candidate selected for this position will be expected to manage daily operational functions including routing incoming calls accurately using the Switchvox telephone system, ensuring proper documentation and security of visitors, distributing lunch tickets while maintaining logs, assisting with package receipt and distribution, submitting work orders for facility repairs, and assisting the mail room clerk. Additionally, they will help cover reception duties at other centers as needed, contribute to monthly departmental meetings by reporting on their assigned responsibilities, and perform other tasks as assigned that logically align with this role. This comprehensive set of duties ensures that the Receptionist is an integral part of maintaining the smooth operation of the Bienvivir centers.

Bienvivir invites applicants who are organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking in a dynamic healthcare environment. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are preferred, reflecting the community it serves, and enhances communication effectiveness with participants and the public. The position offers an opportunity to work within a respected healthcare organization committed to enhancing the lives of elderly community members while providing a supportive and benefit-rich work environment. This role is an excellent fit for candidates seeking stability and growth in the healthcare administrative field.
