As North America's largest provider in this sector, SCI operates with a mission that deeply values life, purpose, and meaningful service. The company is proud to foster a work environment that prioritizes its associates, encouraging a culture of care, inclusion, and excellence. With a strong emphasis on integrity, ongoing training, and advancement opportunities, SCI stands out as a stable, recession-resistant employer that offers not just jobs but rewarding careers that make a genuine difference in people's lives. SCI's work culture is grounded in collaboration and personal growth, inspired by CEO Tom Ryan's philosophy that when associates bring their best selves to work, the company can deliver unparalleled service excellence to families in their time of need.

The Receptionist role at SCI, located in Arlington, TX, is a part-time position averaging 14 hours per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:30 AM to 12 noon, with every three to four weeks working a full Saturday shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional flexible shifts may be available to cover for other associates. This position is integral to the customer experience, serving as the first point of contact for client families and visitors at the front desk. The receptionist is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests courteously, directing them appropriately, and answering and routing phone calls with professionalism and tact.

In this role, attention to detail and a warm, welcoming demeanor are critical. The receptionist will maintain a comfortable and organized waiting area, provide beverages and amenities to families, and manage mail, packages, and record-keeping duties. The position also requires handling sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, including receiving and safeguarding deceased belongings and promptly notifying staff and management regarding appointments or any service and security concerns.

Offering a competitive hourly wage of $15.00, SCI provides a highly supportive work environment with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage, 401(k) plans with company match, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and wellness programs. The company is committed to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that recruitment and employment provide equitable opportunities for all associates.

This receptionist position offers more than just administrative duties; it positions candidates as vital contributors to SCI's mission of compassionate service. It is ideal for individuals looking for meaningful part-time work with flexible hours in a respected company that values its employees and the communities it serves. Join SCI and be part of a team that not only supports families during significant life moments but also invests in the well-being and growth of its associates, fostering a workplace where purpose and career go hand in hand.
