Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in English language skills including reading, writing, and speaking
- Minimum of six months of retail experience
- Previous experience working at Walgreens preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of retail operations and cash handling procedures
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training
- Ability to maintain professional behavior and excellent customer service
- Capacity to handle point-of-sale systems and inventory management tools
Job Duties
- Interacts with customers and patients by welcoming them warmly and providing guidance on products and services to create a positive customer service encounter
- Handles and resolves customer queries for a satisfactory experience
- Acts as a model and promoter in demonstrating and sharing optimal customer service methods with all team members to ensure a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Advises clients on suitable items for sale and suggests complementary or enhanced merchandise
- Logs customer purchases using the designated cash register, handles cash transactions, and dispenses change as needed
- Manages voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as required
- Responsible for ensuring cleanliness and well-organized presentation of counters and shelves, conducts inventory checks, and maintains records efficiently
- Tags and prices merchandise following the store manager's guidelines or instructions from the shift leader
- Implements measures to uphold company asset protection guidelines aimed at limiting profit erosion
- Ensures compliance with state and local ordinances for controlled goods like alcohol and tobacco products
- Creates and manages displays, covering promotional, seasonal, elaborate structures, and merchandise on sale
- Provides support in organizing food items by separating them based on whether they are raw or pre-cooked and arranging them according to established rules
- Possesses operational understanding of store systems and equipment
- Provides support in the photo section including digital passport photo processing and promoting photo items
- Takes charge of web order pickup duties, supervising orders within Picture Care Plus, assembling orders, and handing them to customers
- Works towards maintaining the store's neat and orderly condition by supporting with exterior and interior maintenance tasks
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and rules and nurtures professional rapport with fellow workers
- Accomplishes specialized tasks and additional projects as requested
- Participates in training modules and completes assigned professional development tasks
