The role currently open at SolarisHealthCare Merritt Island focuses on a position dedicated to administrative and reception duties, fundamental to supporting the smooth operation of the center. This position requires caring and compassionate individuals who are dedicated to providing outstanding care and assistance to the residents, their families, and visitors. The chosen candidate will be the first point of contact for the public and must perform this role with professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality in accordance with federal, state, and local standards as well as SolarisHealthCare's established policies and procedures.
The responsibilities of this position are diverse and include greeting and assisting residents, family members, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, answering telephones promptly and clearly, maintaining and managing census records, and handling administrative tasks such as typing correspondence and memos. This role also involves handling the financial aspect of daily operations such as receipt and management of monies for operating, trust, and security accounts; selling meal tickets and maintaining associated records; assisting with ordering supplies; coordinating transportation; and supporting the Admissions Department with inquiries, paperwork, and tours. Additional functions include staff development support, ensuring safety and sanitation protocols are followed, and participating in special activities and administrative responsibilities within the facility.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency with office machines and equipment
- Ability to use proper and understandable English
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established procedures

Job Duties
- Greet and assist residents, family members, and visitors in a friendly manner
- Responsible for answering phones in a timely manner, using proper and understandable English
- Print census each morning
- Type correspondence, memos, etc., as needed for department directors
- Receipt all monies for the operating, trust and security accounts as instructed by the Business Office Manager and/or Administrator
- Sell meal tickets to guests and personnel and keep record of all monies
- Assist in ordering supplies for facility
- Assist in coordination of transportation when necessary
- Assist the Admissions Department with inquiries, paperwork, tours, etc
- Other duties may be assigned
