The Clerk/Receptionist role at Cherokee Federal Services is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations and providing direct support to the serviced Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSA) and support staff. This position offers an estimated starting salary range of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with pay commensurate with experience. In this position, the Clerk/Receptionist will handle a variety of administrative and support duties, effectively acting as the first point of contact for guests, clients, and staff. Key responsibilities include answering incoming telephone calls promptly and directing them to the appropriate personnel, delivering messages in a timely manner, and responding to routine inquiries using comprehensive knowledge of telephone procedures. Reception responsibilities also involve greeting visitors and notifying staff of their arrival, managing incoming mail and packages, and maintaining postage and courier services.

Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Access, Word Perfect, and Adobe Acrobat Professional is required to succeed in this role. Effective communication skills are paramount, as the Clerk/Receptionist must interact professionally with all levels of staff and visitors, work as a team player, and meet established deadlines consistently. The role also demands the ability to review various types of legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to the appropriate individuals.

Candidates for this position should bring at least one year of experience in administrative assistant or receptionist roles, customer service, and law enforcement environments. Job Duties
