The part-time front desk position at Solaris HealthCare Parkway is a dynamic and essential role, serving as the first point of contact for residents, their families, visitors, and staff. This role requires an individual with a friendly and outgoing personality who can multi-task efficiently and maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent customer service skills. This position specifically suits college students and new retirees looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity with flexibility to cover extra shifts as needed. The work schedule includes Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm, plus Fridays from 8 am to 4 pm.

In this role, the front desk associate will manage a variety of responsibilities that include answering phones promptly and professionally, greeting and assisting residents and visitors warmly, handling monetary transactions such as selling meal tickets and receiving payments, and managing administrative support such as printing census reports and typing correspondence. Additionally, the associate helps coordinate transportation, assist the admissions department with inquiries and tours, and supports supply ordering for the facility. The role requires discretion and adherence to privacy and safety standards in line with federal, state, and local regulations and Solaris HealthCare’s policies. An FBI Level II background check and Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening are mandatory to ensure safety and compliance within the healthcare environment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass an FBI level II background check

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist residents, family members, and visitors in a friendly manner
  • responsible for answering phones in a timely manner using proper and understandable English
  • print census each morning
  • type correspondence, memos, etc. as needed for department directors
  • receipt all monies for the operating, trust and security accounts as instructed by the business office manager and/or administrator
  • sell meal tickets to guests and personnel and keep record of all monies
  • assist in ordering supplies for facility
  • assist in coordination of transportation when necessary
  • assist the admissions department with inquiries, paperwork, tours, etc.
  • perform other duties as assigned
