Job Description
The Marshes of Skidaway Island is a premier senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and a welcoming environment for our residents. We are currently seeking a hospitality-focused Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis, working every other weekend at our Health Center and Assisted Living building. This role is crucial as the Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for residents, visitors, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and outside service providers. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting everyone with warmth and professionalism, embodying the spirit of hospitality that defines our community. This position offers an hourly wage of $17.00 to $18.00, with additional benefits such as scholarship opportunities and an annual holiday bonus.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, and a strong commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include providing telephone coverage, taking meal orders, addressing concerns from residents and guests, managing deliveries and mail, preparing maintenance work orders, and assisting the Administrator with various projects. The position requires a dependable individual who can balance organizational objectives with empathetic service, ensuring that every interaction leaves a positive impression. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
- excellent telephone communication skills
- previous experience working in long term care or healthcare facility a plus
- ability to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- some availability and flexibility to work during week when needed preferred
- must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Job Duties
- Provide ongoing telephone coverage
- take employee lunch and dinner orders
- solve issues presented by residents, guests, vendors, and suppliers in a manner that meets organizational objectives and satisfies individuals
- keep difficult situations from escalating
- accept delivery packages, document receipt in log book, and notify recipients
- distribute mail
- prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff
- assist the Administrator with projects and assignments
