The receptionist role at Genesis Healthcare’s nursing center plays a critical part in shaping the reputation of the facility. Serving as the first point of interaction for patients, residents, family members, candidates, and clients, the receptionist ensures a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This position requires strong administrative skills and a friendly, approachable personality. Receptionists are responsible for answering incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, directing calls to the appropriate departments or personnel. They warmly greet and assist visitors, patients, and guests upon arrival, providing essential information and directions. Key duties include coordinating both outgoing and incoming mail, maintaining up-to-date lists of patients and employees by name, room number, and phone extension, and ordering supplies as necessary. Receptionists are also tasked with various clerical responsibilities that support the smooth operation of the nursing center. - High school degree or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors and respond to their medical and physical needs
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be proficient with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides

Job Duties
- Answer all incoming calls professionally and courteously and redirect them appropriately
- Warmly welcome, greet and direct patients, visitors, and guests
- Coordinate outgoing and incoming mail
- Maintain current lists of patients/residents by name/room number and employees by names/phone extension
- Order supplies and perform other clerical duties as assigned
