D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Receptionist to join their Main Office/Office Services Department, located in Midland, Texas. This full-time administrative role is crucial to maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for both visitors and callers. The receptionist acts as the first point of contact, representing the company’s image through courteous and efficient communication. Responsibilities include managing incoming calls promptly and directing them to the appropriate departments, greeting and announcing office visitors, handling general queries, and managing the flow of outgoing and incoming mail. Additionally, the receptionist ensures the neatness and organization of common areas such as the lobby, reception desk, kitchen, and conference rooms. This position also provides essential administrative support to various departments, helping to ensure smooth operational workflows within the office.

The ideal candidate should embody professionalism, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude. Job Duties

  • Answer all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • route calls to the appropriate department or individual
  • assist callers with general questions
  • greet and announce office visitors
  • retrieve and distribute messages from general delivery voicemail
  • receive, open, date stamp and distribute all US Mail
  • post all outgoing US Mail and replenish postage meter when funds are low
  • maintain neat appearance of lobby, reception desk, kitchen and conference rooms
  • provide administrative support to various departments as needed
