The role of receptionist at Andrew Pickett Law is vital to maintaining the firm's professional and welcoming atmosphere. As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, the receptionist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive experience from the outset. This full-time, hourly position is perfect for an enthusiastic, professional, and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The receptionist will manage various administrative duties that help keep the office running smoothly, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, managing mail and deliveries, and assisting with client intake procedures. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset to help support the firm’s clients and team effectively.

This role comes with a competitive salary starting at $17 per hour, which may be adjusted based on experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, 401(k) retirement options, paid holidays, and paid time off. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, and the position requires physical presence in the office to best serve clients and support the legal team. Background checks are required for all applicants to ensure the safety and professionalism of the workplace. In addition to daily administrative responsibilities, the receptionist will also have opportunities to assist with special projects, make appointment reminder calls, follow up with prospective clients, and help gather client feedback and testimonials. Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of front desk receptionist experience or related job experience preferred
  • Displays impeccable communication, interpersonal, time management, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Has previous experience with word processing programs and basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus, but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet clients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate person
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and handle deliveries
  • Provide administrative support to other team members with data entry, paperwork, photocopying, etc., when needed
  • Assist the Intake Department with qualifying potential new clients and case signup, including after-hours and weekends
  • Make reminder calls and send emails to clients regarding appointments or case updates
  • Follow up with potential new clients who have not yet signed a contract
  • Assist with collecting client feedback and testimonials
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as needed
