Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • one to three years prior relevant experience
  • ability to communicate tactfully verbally and in writing
  • working knowledge of computers and software
  • ability to multitask and handle various assignments
  • professional demeanor and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • answer incoming telephone calls
  • determine purpose of callers and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department
  • take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
  • answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information
  • welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
  • monitor visitor access and issue passes when required
  • perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating
