Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience
  • basic knowledge of medical office procedures preferred
  • strong communication skills

  • proficiency with electronic health records or willingness to learn

Job Duties

  • Greeting every patient with a smile
  • Completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate patient visits
  • Completing the check out process by assisting patients with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information as directed by providers
  • Verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
  • Collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
  • Answering the appointment line and checking the email appointment request system
  • Scheduling appointments for patients at office sites and diagnostic departments
  • Maintaining a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and ensuring positive patient encounters
