Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of phone systems and office software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in clerical or receptionist role preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of best receptionist practices
  • Knowledge of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel, and minor office machines such as fax and copier
  • At least six months in a clerical position or successful completion of secretarial science program from an accredited school or college

Job Duties

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, residents, family members, sales representatives, and providing information or directions
  • Answering phone calls, taking and delivering messages
  • Sorting incoming mail and processing outgoing mail
  • Operating business office machines and telephone/paging systems
  • Disbursing resident fund petty cash
  • Receiving and providing receipts for payments made to the facility
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as typing reports and correspondence, filing, and posting accounts
  • Maintaining front office and lobby area
  • Ensuring deliveries are picked up promptly
  • Assisting in listening and reporting resident and family complaints
  • Providing purchase of employee and guest meal tickets
  • Taking inventory, ordering and dispersing office and central nursing supplies
  • Assisting with the accounts payable process
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care
