Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Provide excellent customer service via telephone and in-person
- Manage a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
- Flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules including mornings or evenings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and active listening
- Skilled at multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in operating standard office equipment
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to type 40 WPM
- Use sound judgment in decision making and follow directions
- Ability to remain flexible and respond to clients in crisis or with challenging behaviors
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative workplace relationships
- Professional, customer focused, and organized

Job Duties
- Operate a multi-line telephone switchboard and direct calls as appropriate
- Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages
- Greet, assist and direct clients to the appropriate staff member
- Actively contribute to the reception team to complete tasks and support clients
- Listen actively to team members and respect ideas
- Adapt well to change and be flexible
- Use interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for customers
- Ensure the reception area is presentable at all times
- Refer walk-in clients to the Client Response Associate when appropriate
- Receive, open and file all general correspondence
- Maintain and update the agency phone directory
- Reserve meeting and conference rooms for staff
- Maintain, coordinate and receive items in the reception area including deliveries and donations
- Assist with creating and printing office badges for new hires
- Operate standard office machinery including computer, phone, fax, shredder and photocopiers
- Work with individuals and families in crisis, homelessness, substance use, and/or mental health issues
- Work with diverse populations, possess cultural competency, and maintain appropriate client boundaries
- Maintain and update equipment by submitting service requests and ordering supplies
- Manage time effectively to prioritize and complete daily tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
