Job Requirements

  • Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Support the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) by facilitating patient check-in and comfort
  • Schedule appointments to ensure a smooth and productive day for healthcare providers
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time
  • Answer telephones promptly and handle calls efficiently
  • Complete all front office checklist tasks daily
  • Post payments to patient accounts according to company policies
  • Act as subject matter expert in practice management system for patient registration, e-check in, and account accuracy
  • Efficiently manage patient check-in and notify back office team with pertinent patient information
  • Confirm appointments at least two days in advance according to office policies
  • Return and resolve patient messages from the Contact Center in a timely manner
  • Participate actively in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
  • Understand business imperatives and impact on metrics
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand
  • Support clinicians in patient education about the Mouth-Body Connection
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
