Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of clerical experience or secretarial science program completion
- Ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with various individuals
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
- Proficiency with basic office technology including 10-key calculators and computer systems
- Must pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening
- Commitment to compassionate and professional conduct in a healthcare setting
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least one year of clerical experience or completed secretarial science program from an accredited school or college
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Proficiency in using a 10-key calculator and computer data entry systems
- Successful completion of background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening
Job Duties
- Receive and follow reception schedule and instructions from supervisor
- Operate paging and telephone systems
- Answer telephones, determine nature of call, and direct caller to appropriate individual or department
- Receive requests from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system
- Receive inquiries and release information according to policies and procedures
- Maintain current file/listing of residents, emergency phone members, department extensions, and key personnel
- Maintain listing of critical residents and refer calls to Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse when required
