Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year secretarial experience
  • must have an active and up-to-date certification in CPR
  • a minimum of one-year experience in working with the frail or elderly population
  • high school diploma or equivalent education
  • must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact
  • ability to independently operate computer programs and support Executive Assistant with managing inventory
  • able to communicate verbally and in writing and work effectively with various levels of staff, participants, family members and the public
  • proficient typing required

Job Duties

  • Assumes responsibility for designated clerical and receptionist duties at front desk
  • receives incoming telephone calls, screens for correct transfer and connects with appropriate party
  • greets and directs visitors, screens and directs salespersons as advised
  • monitors for building safety and initiates emergency response when necessary
  • coordinates with maintenance department to ensure building is properly maintained
  • receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail, receives and routes package deliveries
  • competent in VOANS SCC emergency medical procedures
