Job Description
Wolf River Pet Hospital & Resort is a well-established, community-centered small animal veterinary clinic and pet resort located in the heart of Germantown, Tennessee. Our facility prides itself on building deep, meaningful relationships with our clients and their beloved pets. We offer a variety of comprehensive medical services, including wellness exams, preventative care, surgeries, in-house diagnostics, and hospitalization. Our pet resort complements these medical offerings with grooming, bathing, cat and dog boarding, and daycare services. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals in veterinary, resort, or shelter settings
- Able to work 30-40 hours weekly between 7am-6pm on weekdays and 8am-12pm every other Saturday
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and handle large dogs and cats comfortably
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary medical, animal resort, or animal shelter setting
- Strong verbal and written customer service skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients in-person and over the phone
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask efficiently
- Warm and friendly personality that builds positive client relationships
- Able to learn quickly and work well within a team environment
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Make appointments and boarding reservations
- Move dogs and cats to and from the lobby to their kennels
- Call to check on patients
- Check patients in and out of the clinic for boarding, daycare, and medical services
- Prepare documentation prior to patient arrival
- Relay prescription requests and client inquiries to the veterinary team
- Work closely with resort staff to ensure all patients receive requested services
