Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Ability to type/data-entry accurately at 40 wpm
  • Experience using multi-line switchboard system
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Internet, and Email
  • Customer service oriented with a pleasant disposition
  • Must maintain ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screen

Job Duties

  • Present a professional appearance and friendly attitude to all visitors and guests in the building
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Represent the agency in a positive, responsive manner
  • Greet and direct all visitors, program participants and employees as they arrive in the building
  • Use the visitor/guest sign-in registry and visitor name badge system
  • Create name badges and provide them to all visitors and participants to be worn while they are on the premises
  • Answer questions and provide information to guests and visitors as requested
  • Work cooperatively with lobby ambassadors to direct visitors and guests to the appropriate areas of the building and to meetings with requested employees
  • Contact staff via phone, email, and online messaging system to notify them of visitors in the lobby
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of the agency’s mission, vision and values
  • Keep informed about all current programs and services, as well as the staff members responsible for each
  • Maintain clean front desk space, free from clutter and unnecessary items
  • Assist with monthly building safety drills in partnership with safety department and site safety coordinators
  • Facilitate and assist employees in using the agency postage meter
  • Sort and distribute mail to employee mailboxes
  • Manage and maintain employee mailboxes
  • Comply with all agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards
  • Verify and create badges for employees, volunteers and others as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
