Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to operate multi-line telephone console
  • Experience in customer service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Willingness to comply with safety and procedural training
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical, physical abilities test, drug screen and criminal background clearance

Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
  • Directs caller to destination and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon
  • Takes messages accurately including correct spelling of names and phone number
  • Operates multi-line telephone console to receive incoming messages
  • Greets incoming visitors, screens visitors in lobby if unfamiliar
  • Uses multi-line telephones, telephone head set, calculator, fax machine, postal machine and copy machine proficiently
  • May cash checks, sell stamps, bill residents for meal charges by entering data on computer system
  • May sell meal tickets to employees and issue visitors pass when required
  • May make guest room reservations
  • Monitors fire alarms, calls emergency services if applicable and directs emergency personnel
  • Keeps track of keys to residents, employees and vendors
  • Performs variety of clerical duties, including projects for Executive Director, Marketing, Accounting and Activity Departments
  • Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner and reports any safety hazards or accidents
  • Attends all mandatory in-service meetings and complies with all department and facility policies and procedures
  • Follows safe work habits to prevent injuries to self, residents, visitors or employees
