Job Duties

  • welcome patients' families and friends upon arrival
  • provide clear directions and essential information about the surgical process and waiting area procedures
  • maintain regular communication with surgical and recovery room teams
  • keep family members informed about the progress and status of the surgery in a timely and compassionate manner
  • serve as a bridge between the medical team and the patient's loved ones
  • offer emotional support and ensure that updates are delivered with empathy and clarity
  • clearly explain the surgical process, estimated waiting times, and what to expect during recovery
  • provide post-operative care instructions as needed, ensuring understanding and answering any questions
  • foster a peaceful and supportive atmosphere in the waiting area
  • address concerns or anxieties with patience and professionalism
