  • minimum one year of clerical, secretarial and/or receptionist experience

Job Duties

  • Serve as first point of contact by greeting, welcoming and assisting callers and visitors to the district or school
  • manage a multi-line phone console including answering incoming calls, responding to inquiries, forwarding calls and taking messages
  • assist visitors, maintain data logs and monitor sign-in logs
  • perform general clerical duties for specific offices or departments including creating and maintaining files and lists, preparing and distributing materials, sorting and distributing mail, managing calendar and appointments
  • communicate with students, parents, community and district employees to respond to issues and assist during emergencies and drills
  • assist in coordinating and carrying out special projects and events such as recognition ceremonies and graduation
  • provide back up to other office personnel as needed
  • assist with training and monitoring duties and attendance of volunteers or student assistants
  • perform other related duties as assigned
