Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior experience or training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • Knowledge of office practices and patient insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurance

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Support the Perfect Patient Experience process by helping patients enter and feel comfortable in the office
  • Schedule appointments to ensure smooth and productive days for healthcare providers
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time
  • Answer telephones promptly and handle calls efficiently and thoroughly
  • Complete all tasks on the front office checklist daily
  • Post payments to patient accounts following company policies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in practice management systems regarding patient registration, e-check-in, and accurate account information
  • Efficiently check-in patients, obtain necessary consents, and promptly notify back office of patient arrivals and pertinent information
  • Confirm patient appointments according to office policies at least 2 days in advance
  • Return and resolve all patient messages from the Contact Center timely
  • Participate actively in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role impacts metrics
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand by making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework
  • Support clinician efforts on patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor according to company policies and treat others respectfully
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
