Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must demonstrate superior customer service skills
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Must be able to work harmoniously with others
- Must possess knowledge of supply management practices
- Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress
- Must meet the general health requirements including medical and physical examination
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 25 pounds
- Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to blood or body fluids
- Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of others
- Must be willing to assist in emergency evacuation
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Must comply with facility policies regarding confidentiality and safety.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with other personnel
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to make independent decisions when required
- Knowledge of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines
- Ability to handle mental and emotional stress of the position
- Ability to function independently with personal integrity and flexibility
- Willingness to attend in-service training and seminars
- Ability to operate word processing and telephone systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures.
Job Duties
- Warmly greet visitors in person and by phone
- Maintain accurate resident census by resident name and room number
- Maintain emergency, reference, key personnel, and medical staff telephone numbers lists
- Follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Operate word processor and facility telephone and paging systems
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail timely
- Screen and direct incoming calls and enforce visitation policies
- Communicate effectively with facility staff, residents, and visitors
- Handle emergency situations calmly and follow fire and disaster procedures
- Assist department personnel in service improvement
- Attend and participate in training and workshops
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and equipment malfunctions
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Knock before entering residents' rooms
- Work in assigned areas and be subject to call-back during emergencies
- Perform other related duties as directed by administration.
