Job Requirements

  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
  • Energetic self-starter with goal-setting and prioritization skills
  • Flexible and empathetic patient advocate
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and computer proficient
  • Financial acumen with understanding of profit drivers and market factors
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices
  • Support the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) by helping to get patients into the office and ensuring their comfort during visits
  • Schedule appointments efficiently to ensure smooth and productive days for healthcare providers
  • Interact and communicate professionally with patients and guests in the reception area
  • Answer telephones promptly and handle calls with efficiency
  • Complete all front office checklist tasks daily
  • Post payments to patient accounts in accordance with company policies
  • Act as a subject matter expert in practice management system regarding patient registration and e-check-in
  • Manage patient check-in process including obtaining consents and notifying back office of arrivals
  • Confirm all patient appointments at least two days in advance following office policies
  • Respond to and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center promptly
  • Participate actively in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
  • Understand business imperatives and the role’s impact on operational metrics
  • Uphold the PDS Brand framework in decision-making
  • Support clinician efforts in patient education related to the Mouth-Body Connection
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor consistent with company policies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
