The available position of Receptionist at Children’s Habilitation Center offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the daily operations of this impactful organization. As a full-time, non-exempt role reporting directly to the Office Manager, the receptionist acts as the first point of contact for visitors and staff alike, embodying the welcoming spirit of the center. Scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, this role guarantees consistent daytime hours in a supportive and mission-driven workplace. The receptionist's responsibilities extend beyond traditional front desk duties; this role is integral to maintaining smooth office operations and fostering a professional environment. Daily tasks include opening and closing the office, greeting visitors with warmth, answering and directing phone calls efficiently, and managing communications with families and guardians. Additionally, the receptionist is responsible for ordering and distributing office supplies, maintaining detailed and up-to-date records such as contact information for parents and guardians, and serving as the school secretary with duties that involve preparing billing and updating student face sheets. This administrative role also plays a part in quality improvement initiatives, supporting the center's goal of continuous development and high standards in service delivery. The position may occasionally require lifting or handling items up to 50 pounds, highlighting the physical component of the job.
Ideal candidates will bring a solid background in office administration, demonstrated by at least three years of experience in office management or administrative support.
