Job Description
Funtown Splashtown USA is a vibrant amusement and water park renowned for providing thrilling rides, family-friendly attractions, and exceptional guest experiences. Established as a popular destination for both local residents and tourists, the park combines traditional amusement park fun with exciting water slides and interactive entertainment. As a dynamic and growing company in the entertainment and recreation industry, Funtown Splashtown USA is committed to delivering quality service, safety, and enjoyment for all visitors. The park operates seasonally and offers various employment opportunities aimed at creating a positive and safe environment for guests and employees alike.
The role of a Receptionist at Funtown Splashtown USA is a vital position within the administrative and guest services team. This position is responsible for managing a wide range of office duties including overseeing the front office operations, cashier functions, and miscellaneous administrative tasks. The Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for visitors, assisting guests with their inquiries about the park, providing detailed information about rides, food locations, and park policies, and facilitating sales of one-day and season passes through an efficient point-of-sale system. This role demands excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Receptionists at Funtown Splashtown USA will engage heavily in guest relations, working closely with department managers and other office staff to ensure guests receive prompt and accurate information. Handling office phones is a significant part of this job, requiring proficiency in managing call inquiries and delivering courteous service. The role also involves specialty sales tasks such as processing and printing online orders, and managing season pass sales directly with guests.
Beyond guest interaction, receptionists help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the office space by performing cleaning duties like vacuuming, window cleaning, trash removal, and general upkeep. Other office responsibilities include preparing online orders for shipment, sorting incoming mail, and distributing paychecks to employees when necessary. Receptionists must strictly adhere to all company policies and departmental procedures, maintain a professional appearance according to uniform guidelines, and participate in departmental and park-wide training sessions to stay aligned with the park's standards and regulations.
This role is ideally suited for candidates who are at least 16 years old, possess good phone and interpersonal skills, and have the capacity to multitask effectively. While prior cashier experience is not mandatory as training is provided, computer experience is preferred to efficiently manage the computerized point-of-sale system and other digital office tasks. The work environment is primarily indoors within an air-conditioned office; however, occasional outdoor duties may be required. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and the capacity to remain seated, standing, or walking for extended periods.
Overall, joining Funtown Splashtown USA as a Receptionist offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in customer service, sales, and office administration within a lively amusement park setting. This position supports the park’s mission to provide memorable guest experiences through professional and friendly service, contributing to the ongoing success and positive reputation of the park.
